A recent poll by Rover found that the majority of dog owners like their dogs more than other people. 94% of owners consider their dogs to be family members. About 75% of dog owners include their dogs in major life events and take more pictures of their dogs than of their friends or significant others. 47% of owners find it more emotionally difficult to leave their dogs than their human partners, and 56% greet their dogs before their families when coming home. 54% would consider ending a relationship if their dog didn’t like their partner. 3,000 dog owners admitted to searching “Does my dog love me?” on Google. Dog ownership improves emotional and physical well-being.
